Rebecca Baruch is a Toronto-born, Los Angeles-based writer who wishes she grew up in Narnia. Since that didn't happen, she finds adventure in her writing, creating authentic and elevated female-led stories about teen friendships. She does this all with a touch of humor, empathy, and some magical realism - duh!
As a driven, creative, and open-minded collaborator, Rebecca leads with the belief that no task is too big or too small. She works both tirelessly and passionately, striving for perfection (but settling for excellence).
Rebecca earned her M.F.A. from the American Film Institute Conservatory, where she was a Screenwriting Fellow. She recently wrapped up her time on an upcoming television series for Amazon Studios, working directly with showrunner Lulu Wang and producer Dani Melia at their production company, Local Time. Recently, Rebecca penned an upcoming feature - a teen summer camp thriller - set to film in 2024, along with an active slate of other writing projects.
