Rebecca Baruch is a Toronto-born, Los Angeles-based screenwriter who wishes she grew up in Narnia. Since that didn't happen, she finds adventure in her writing, creating authentic, female-led stories about teen friendships. Her worlds are elevated, engaging, and most definitely not cheugy. She does this all with a touch of humor, empathy, and some magical realism - duh!
As a driven, creative, and open-minded collaborator, Rebecca leads with the belief that no task is too big or too small. She works both tirelessly and passionately, striving for perfection (but settling for excellence).
Rebecca earned her M.F.A. from the American Film Institute Conservatory, where she was a Screenwriting Fellow. She currently works at Local Time, a production company at Amazon Studios, co-founded by Lulu Wang and Dani Melia.
